Sioux Falls Real Estate Blog

Before you list your home for sale, take a good look around. Is there anything you would like to take with you? Maybe you have something that has been in your family for generations such as a chandelier that is of priceless value to you, or a book shelf that looks like a built-in but is not. Anything that is attached to your home when the house is sold will be assumed to be conveyed to the buyer. So if there is anything you would want to take with you, inform your agent and tell him/her you want these items excluded in the purchase agreement before you list your home for sale.

If you do plan on taking such items, make sure you have replaced it before you start to show your home. This will allow you to avoid any confusion or frustrations when dealing with buyers.
