After you've given thanks, enjoyed time with family, and garnered great Black Friday shopping deals... officially kick off this year's Holiday Season by attending the Parade of Lights Friday night at 7:30 p.m.

We've been working all week on our entry, where we're previewing Secret Santa Saturday, a benefit for Heartland House of Sioux Falls. Look for us in the parade!

This year's 20th annual event is expected to draw nearly 10,000 people. Be dazzled by lighted holiday floats and music, on historic Phillips Avenue from 14th Street to 5th Street. Many downtown businesses will extend their hours to accommodate holiday shoppers.

Dress in your holiday spirit gear, and come down early for the Jingle Bell 5K; registration begins at 4:30 p.m. for the event at 6:30 p.m.

Photo opportunities with Santa each Saturday between Thanksgiving and Christmas eve (excluding Dec. 24). Horse drawn wagon rides will be available near 12th and Phillips each Saturday from noon-4 p.m.
